The Cathedral Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida is a prominent Roman Catholic basilica in Aparecida, Brazil. It is dedicated to Our Lady Aparecida as the principal Patroness of Brazil. Nossa Senhora Aparecida roughly translates to Our Lady Revealed It is the largest cathedral and the second largest Catholic church in the world in the interior area after the St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City.
The internal space of this church is 12000 square meters. It is the second-largest church in the world and the most significant Marian pilgrimage site in the nation. Because of its size, it can hold more than 45000 worshipers at once. The church's domes are around 70 meters high, and its towers are 100 and 2 meters tall. The Virgin Mary is also honored in this church.
