MSTU is Russia's first technical university, with 19 faculties, labs, research institutes, and three divisions. This is a university that trains specialists in aerospace, telecommunications, and other sectors, including nanosystems and counter-terrorism. There are various advantages of attending university:

MSTU has an affiliation with international universities that allows you to earn a double education: students exchange programs study abroad for two years, after which they receive two diplomas at the same time. There are also short-term exchange programs that last one or two semesters.
S.P. Korolev (rocket science), A.N. Tupolev (plane designer), D.S. Grishin (co-founder of Mail.Ru Group), and others are MSTU grads.
The institution encourages students' artistic endeavors; interest organizations, such as KVN, have been established. Master courses and other events are held on a regular basis with the goal of improving students' personal qualities, creative thinking, and connection with one another.
MSTU provides students with the following services in addition to educational facilities:
- A library with approximately 3 million books: publications are available in both print and electronic formats.
- The Palace of Culture has a 1200-seat hall where conferences, concerts, shows, and theme nights are hosted. The Sports Complex has a 50-meter pool, gyms, and 36 sections.
MSTU follows the normal semester structure, with two semesters per year. From June 20 through July 10, applicants' documents will be received. The annual cost varies by speciality and goes from 260,000 rubles to 365,000 rubles. Additional fees are associated with exchange programs: a month of study and related costs at a foreign university costs an average of 800 €. Applicants may enroll in preparation courses, which range in price from 7000 to 9800 rubles for 5-7 classes.
