Be With You (2018)
Be With You is based on Takuji Ichikawa's love book of the same name, and it follows the lives of Ji Ho (Kim Ji Hwan) and Woo-jin (So Ji-Sub), a father and son.
The narrative of And I'll Come, one of Japan's most popular love stories that has been adapted for movies, TV shows, and plays, is enough to shock even crowds. The most convincing fake, providing information on Woo-jin's family sentiments and his love for his wife Soo A.
A man like Woo-jin who is committed to his family stands out in a sea of icy male leads and rebellious characters in current Korean dramas. It will let the viewers connect with the character's circumstance of "rooster raising children" and empathize with it more. The movie's scriptwriter also made a wonderful job when adapting by including hilarious aspects, which helped to lighten the work's weight relative to the original Japanese picture.
And I Will Come utterly lacks any important innovations or inventiveness, especially in the areas of picture and sound. Don't, however, assume that this will be the movie's weak spot. The outdoor sequences will always be the most beautiful ones in the Korean countryside, despite the fact that it still uses the traditional "exercises" of Korean films, such the romantic, lyrical background music and the frames with vivid colors and a hint of dream... Not to add the slo-mo moment anytime the male protagonist displays loving or protective behavior toward the female character. It's true that the aforementioned elements all have pretty cliche sounds.
