Beauty and the Beast (1991)

Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney Princess film, according to IMDb. The 1991 Disney picture is based on Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont's 18th-century fairy tale and a 1946 film of the same name. Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a bookworm who ends herself in a castle while looking for her father. Belle meets a slew of talking home goods, as well as Beast, a human prince who has been transformed into a terrible beast by a curse.

It was the first Disney picture to be converted into a Broadway musical, and it was also remade in 2017 with Emma Watson in a live-action adaptation.
