Frozen (2013)
After the Disney resurgence of the 1990s faded, "Frozen" reignited Disney's reign as an animation powerhouse. Since Tarzan in 1999, it was the first full-length Disney (non-Pixar) picture to win the Golden Globe (and ultimately the Academy Award) for Best Animated Feature Film in 2013. "Let It Go," sung by Elsa (Idina Menzel) and written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, shattered pop music records and became a worldwide hit with toddlers and children (as well as plenty of adults).
Anna and Elsa's narrative of finding genuine love as a family was so well-liked that it was adapted into a Broadway musical.
