Bellwald
It is a small town in the canton of Valais, located at an elevation of 1560 meters. You may visit this charming village in the fall and be pleasantly surprised. It is a 450-person village with breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps, wonderful mountain bike rides, a mountain station, and even some skiing slopes. Bellwald will soon be linked to Fiesch, the starting point for one of Switzerland's largest ski resorts, the Aletsch Arena. It will be a game changer for this small hamlet.
Bellwald is a really unusual wooden old town with hundreds of authentically old Swiss buildings, and you can even enter one of them and see some short films on the community's history. Stroll around the ancient town, go into the slopes, have some fondue, and visit a local ONYA SPA for the perfect fall day. When driving to Bellwald, just before the last bend up to Bellwald from the main road - right next to the main road - you will see one of Switzerland's longest suspension bridges. There is a dedicated parking area beside the bridge for bridge visitors.
