Mürren

It is a quiet Jungfrau area locale with a skiing resort, gorgeous Swiss chalets, and just breathtaking views of the mountains across the valley. Because Mürren is not accessible by automobile, you either trek up from Lauterbrunnen or take a cable car to Grütschalp and then a little red train to Mürren. This is one of the most gorgeous train rides in Switzerland. It's short, but the views are spectacular. It's amazing how they managed to get a train up there.

Mürren is quieter in the fall than in the summer and is already preparing for the winter season. So in the fall, it will be quiet and there will be few people. Toplist recommends two things: travel to another medieval town, Gimmelwald (the trip back and forth will take around 2 hours), and eat fondue in Mürren at the restaurant with these spectacular mountain views. It will be an authentic Swiss experience.
