Betty Dain
In 1947, Mortimer Leebow revolutionized women's fashion with a sleek, feminine off-the-shoulder top. He patented the new design and started working, naming the new company after his wife, Bessie Dain. As elegant silhouettes, Joan Crawford became increasingly popular, so did his Brooklyn, NY act.
After the war, barbers invented a way to cut hair. Stylists invented the bath towel and the beauty industry is flourishing. Mr. Leebow knew that barbershops springing up around the country needed gowns and aprons, so he packed his bags and traveled the South China Sea to introduce his products to the industry. He really listened to the needs of barbers and hairdressers, and tailored styles are still used today.
For 75 years, Betty Dain Creations, Inc. designs and manufactures products for the beauty industry. They listen, they create, and they execute to succeed.
