The drink Araka, an alcoholic version of fermented mare's milk used by Genghis Khan and his army, served as the inspiration for the creation of Black Cow Vodka by West Dorset dairy farmer Jason Barber and his partner Paul Archard. After being introduced in 2012, the brand has gone on to win numerous accolades and the respect of both chefs and celebrities.

The worldwide first and only pure milk vodka, according to Black Cow Vodka, is produced solely from milk products. Whey, which contains a lot of lactose and carbohydrates that can ferment into alcohol when exposed to a certain yeast, is used to make vodka.

Black Cow Vodka is said to have a taste that is smooth, creamy, and clean with a hint of vanilla and sweetness. Also mentioned by some reviewers is a mild buttery or nutty flavor. It is believed that vodka is simple to savor neat or to incorporate into cocktails or other drinks.

It makes sense to pair the vodka and cheese together because they are both made from the same type of milk. Black Cow Vodka also makes its own cheese, including the creamy, crumbly 1833 cheddar and Black Cow Deluxe Cheddar.

On their official website, Black Cow Vodka is available for about £29.50 for a 70cl bottle or £26.00 for a 50cl bottle. The company also sells gift packages that come with extra items, such as glasses.
