Edwards 1902
Elsham Wold Distillery, a family-run enterprise in Lincolnshire, introduced Edwards 1902 in 2020 as a premium English potato vodka brand. Russian vodka has a proud history, but Edwards 1902 is a British counterpart that embodies the spirit of British farming.
The unusual flavor and smoothness of Edwards 1902 come from the fact that it is a single-variety vodka distilled from just one kind of potato. Small quantities of vodka are produced in a copper pot still and purified using charcoal filters. A number of honors have been bestowed upon Edwards 1902, including gold medals at the 2020 and 2021 World Vodka Awards.
According to reviews, Edwards 1902 has a flavor that is delicately sweet, crisp, with hints of minerals. The distillers advise sipping it neat over ice or mixing it into a traditional martini. To produce different cocktails, such as the Edwards Espresso Martini, the Edwards Rhubarb Fizz, or the Edwards Bloody Mary, the vodka is, however, equally adaptable.
A 70cl bottle of Edwards 1902 costs roughly £35; this is equivalent to the cost of other high-end vodkas on the market. The company also sells cold brew coffee liqueur and vodka with rhubarb flavor.
