The Black & White Garifuna Restaurant is a Belizean eatery. Black & White Garifuna Restaurant is next to Sirenita Restaurant & Bar and close to La Casita Store. This little restaurant, which is decorated with tropics-themed tablecloths, local paintings, and lovely lattice, serves Garifuna specialties including hudut (red snapper cooked in coconut milk with spices and pounded plantains) and cassava bread, the group's ancestors' primary diet. The restaurant also serves as a cultural center, hosting educational presentations about Garifuna history, culture, and drumming traditions on occasion. The use of percussion instruments and drums characterizes traditional Garifuna music, which is frequently accompanied by maracas and singing.
