A little research was conducted in 2016 on the effects of Gotu kola extract and folic acid on cognitive function after a stroke. This tiny research looked at the effects on three groups of people: those who took 1,000 milligrams (mg) of Gotu kola per day, those who took 750 mg of Gotu kola per day, and those who took 3 mg of folic acid per day. Although both Gotu kola and folic acid improved general cognition, Gotu kola was more successful in boosting the memory domain.


A separate investigation of the cognitive enhancement properties of Gotu kola water extract on mice. The Morris Water Maze improved learning and memory in both young and elderly mice, although the impact was stronger in the older mice. You should take 750 to 1,000 mg of Gotu kola daily for up to 14 days.
