Bucky Lasek & Adam Yauch Four Duck Set

This set of four skateboards, like the Beatles Blackbird Board above, was sold at a Tony Hawk auction to generate money to establish skateparks in underserved parts of the United States. The Beastie Boys' Bucky Lasek and Adam Yauch collaborated to develop the Four Duck Set.

Bucky Lasek's personal ridden skateboard deck, plus three additional new skateboards, were created in collaboration with Adam Yauch of the GRAMMY Award-winning Beastie Boys to create this one-of-a-kind artifact—Bucky Lasek's favorite song lyric ("Bodhisattva Vow") written on them by Adam Yauch himself. The three new decks each include one verse from the Beastie Boys' "Bodhisattva Vow," with illustrations by Yauch on the deck that Lasek rode. Bucky Lasek's "Free Tibet" pro model is a 7-ply maple laminate Element brand board. It's customized with Lasek's unique decal outfit and shows all of the wear and tear that a professional player would. Yauch finished writing the words of "Bodhisattva Vow" on the boards in March 2012, only weeks before his death in May. The set of boards sold for £35,000, resulting in a skatepark project in Adam Yauch's hometown of New York City.
