C25K is the quickest way for novices to progress from couch potatoes to 5K distance runners in only eight weeks. This is an excellent app for those who are just getting started, whether they want to jumpstart their weight-loss objectives or start daily marathons.
C25K commits you to an eight-week training plan. Week 1 begins with 20 minutes of alternate walking and running, though even this first stage may be too much for some people. The design is straightforward, with a scrollable timeline of your workouts and single-tap access to any session. Once you've started a session, the app will inform you what you should do (walk, jog, etc.) and how far along you are. You have complete control over the process, you may rewind and repeat a step or skip to the finish.
