Camp Rock (2008)

Camp Rock is a 2008 musical television film in the United States. It's about Mitchie (Demi Lovato), a young girl who wants to be a singer, and her time at Camp Rock, a summer music camp where she meets friends, foes, romance, and discovers her voice. The film received 8.9 million viewers on the night of its premiere and is now the third most-watched DCOM of all time, trailing only High School Musical 2 and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.

In retrospect, Camp Rock had all of the typical DCOM teen cheese, but it was one of the year's biggest TV movies. It was so popular that it was shown on ABC, making it the second Disney Channel film to do so.
