Cat Ba Island, Vietnam
Cat Ba island district is an archipelago with 367 large and small islands. Cat Ba is the name of the main island about 100km² wide, 30 nautical miles from Hai Phong port, located in the south of Ha Long Bay, creating an archipelago of islands and caves that captivates visitors. Cat Ba Island is the 3rd biosphere reserve in Vietnam, recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve is an area full of tropical rainforests, mangroves, coral reefs, seaweed mats, and especially cave systems. Cat Ba also has a Cai Beo site belonging to Ha Long culture people who lived 6475-4200 years ago.
The garden's terrain is diverse, mainly limestone mountains with many interesting caves and interspersed with white and smooth sand beaches, where tourists swim. The climate on Cat Ba island is very cool and fresh, suitable for rest, travel, and relaxation.
