Palawan Island, Philippines
Palawan is the largest island of Palawan province in the Luzon region and the fifth-largest island of the Philippine island nation. Located in the southwest of the Philippines, separating the East Sea from the Sulu Sea. Called an island, Palawan is 450km long and wide with airports: El Nido Airport, Puerto Princesa, Cesar Rodriguez Lim, Taytay and Francisco Reyes, Busuanga. Attractions include Northern Palawan (Bacuit Islands, San Vicente, El Nido, and Taytay), Southern Palawan (Tabon Caveschevron, Brooke's Point).
The northern part is characterized by tropical waters with white sands, and a variety of plant and animal species here. The most famous place of the North is the two islands of El Nido and Taytay, characterized by limestone cliffs and diverse species of tropical fish and coral, underwater sea turtles.
For Filipinos, El Nido is undoubtedly the most impressive island. Located on the northern tip of Palawan, it is a collection of stunning atolls and bays hidden among white sandstone cliffs emerging from the emerald sea. In addition, Palawan also has Puerto Princesa, the longest underground river in Asia and the second-longest in the world with a length of more than 8km. UNESCO calls it one of the best unique places in the world.
