Perhentian Islands, Malaysia

Located in the northeast of Malaysia, about ten nautical miles from the mainland and less than 70 kilometers from the Thai border, Perhentian is a familiar name for the people of the Malaysian kingdom, dubbed the best paradise island. Perhentian Island is a group of small islands in the state of Terengganu consisting of two main islands, Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil, surrounded by coral reefs with many beautiful beaches. It is one of the attractive tourist destinations with many interesting landscapes and activities.

White sandy beaches with clear water and flanked by rolling jungle-covered hills make the views from the beach spectacular. Coral Bay is on a small island, the only beach where you can fully watch the brilliant sunset. On the west side of Besar, which has the best and cleanest beaches. There are several trails that you can take around Kecil island full view of the Lighthouse Tower. With luck, you might be able to spot some of the islands' wildlife, including harmless monitor lizards and monkeys, not to mention nesting turtles at certain times of the year. Arguably the Perhentians' best sights of all are underwater, where you're likely to see reef sharks and sea turtles amongst the corals and tropical fish.
