Caucasian Shepherd Dog
Large livestock guardians known as Caucasian Shepherd Dogs or Caucasian Ovcharkas are indigenous to the Caucasus region, specifically Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Dagestan. It was created in the Soviet Union starting around 1920 using dogs from the Southern Russian steppe and the Caucasus Mountains. Historically, both in terms of quantity and the caliber of the dogs present, the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia have been the main location of dispersion for Caucasian Shepherd dogs.
Anytime there is a threat, it is a hardy, fearless, and self-assured dog with powerful bones and a sturdy build. If not, it's a loving, kind, and gentle dog that gets along well with everyone in the household as well as other animals. For many years, Caucasian Shepherds have been employed to protect cattle, property, and other things from predators like bears. Today, they are mostly kept as pets or watchdogs.
A big dog, the Caucasian Ovcharka is. For females, the recommended wither height is between 67 and 70 cm, and for males, between 72 and 75 cm. Female registration requirements are 64 cm and 40 kg, whereas male registration requirements are 68 cm and 50 kg. Caucasian Shepherd Dog is one of the biggest dog breeds.
