Château Lagrange
Château Lagrange is a winery of the Bordeaux region of France. It is owned by the Japanese liquor giant Suntory. In 2005, the brand was the first area region to implement carbon emissions measurement, achieved the certification of Reasonable Agriculture, and ISO 14001 certification of the 2017 Environmental Management system.
Château Lagrange covers 118 hectares in a piece of 67% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% of Merlot, and 5% of Petit-Verdot divided into more than 100 individual plots and vines of medium age about 40 years old. In addition, Château Lagrange has dedicated 11 hectares to the production of white wines including 80% Sauvignon blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris, and 10% Sémillon.
Château Lagrange cares about protecting the environment by promoting the biodiversity of the vineyard, growing the flora through the establishment of hedges, mowing the sheep, re-establishing beehives and birdhouses, and not using any chemical weeding agents on the land.
