Hemsworth began his career by making appearances in many TV programs. He made an appearance in a The Saddle Club episode the following year. Hemsworth attended an audition for the Australian serial drama Home and Away's Robbie Hunter in 2004. He was later summoned back for the role of Kim Hyde despite not getting the position. In order to join the cast, he relocated to Sydney. He appeared in 171 episodes of the show. On July 3, 2007, he quit the cast of Home and Away. Hemsworth subsequently commented that, despite the fact that Home and Away increased his visibility, his work on a soap opera failed to get him recognition in the film business.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe character Thor is Hemsworth's most well-known performance. Hemsworth has grown to be one of the highest-paid actors in the world as his career in Hollywood movies has progressed. He was included among the top actors in the world by Forbes in 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2021.
