Johnny Depp

Actor and musician John Christopher Depp II hails from the United States. In addition to being nominated for three Academy Awards and two BAFTA awards, he has won other honors, including a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

On June 9, 1963, he was created in Kentucky's Owensboro. He may have achieved the most success in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, when he played Captain Jack Sparrow.

Depp dropped out of high school at the age of 16 to concentrate on his music career. He was raised primarily in Florida before relocating to Los Angeles to join his band, the Kids. with 1983, Depp wed cosmetics artist Lori Anne Allison while Johnny struggled with his music career.

Depp made his acting debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street as a teenager who gets eaten by his own bed after Allison phoned actor Nicolas Cage to arrange an audition for him with director Wes Craven. Allison and he were divorced the next year.

Depp has spent a lot of his life battling substance problems. He said that at the age of 11, he started using his mother's "nerve pills," started smoking at the age of 12, and had tried "every kind of drug there was" by the time he was 14 years old. Depp admits using alcohol excessively while What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993) was being filmed in a 1997 interview. Depp claimed to have "poisoned" himself with booze "for years" in an interview from 2008. Depp said in 2013 that he had stopped drinking, saying that he had "pretty much gotten everything out of it."
