Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch
The story of "Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch" takes place in 2010, when the Holy Empire of Britannia aggressively asserted its dominance as a military superpower, beginning with the subjugation of Japan. Following its swift conquest, Japan was rebranded as Area 11, and its people launched a persistent resistance movement in pursuit of regaining their independence.
Our titular character in "Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch," Lelouch Lamperouge, a Britannian student, inadvertently becomes entangled in the ongoing conflict between the Britannian regime and the rebels of Area 11. His escape from this volatile situation is orchestrated by a mysterious girl named C.C., who grants him the power known as Geass, often referred to as the "Power of Kings."
Recognizing the boundless potential of this newfound ability, which bestows "absolute obedience," Lelouch assumes the alter ego of Zero, a masked vigilante. As Zero, he spearheads a relentless campaign against Britannia, determined to exact his long-awaited revenge.
