Tenkuu no Escaflowne

"Tenkuu no Escaflowne" revolves around Hitomi Kanzaki, a regular 15-year-old with a fascination for tarot cards and fortune-telling. He experiences an extraordinary night when Van Fanel, a boy, descends from the sky accompanied by a fierce dragon. Following Hitomi's premonition, Van manages to slay the dragon, but an unexpected pillar of light envelops them both. Consequently, Hitomi gets transported to Gaea, a mysterious realm where Earth is suspended in the sky.

In this unfamiliar land, Hitomi learns that Van is the prince of the Kingdom of Fanelia, which comes under attack by the sinister empire of Zaibach. Despite Van's attempt to defend using his family's ancient pummeled Escaflowne, Fanelia is devastated.

On the run, Hitomi and Van encounter Allen Schezar, a dashing Asturian knight who astounds Hitomi with his uncanny resemblance to her crush from Earth. Teaming up with new allies, Van and Hitomi resist Zaibach's forces as the empire strives to resurrect an ancient power, which sets the stage for exhilarating adventures in "Tenkuu no Escaflowne."
