Comme des Garçons
Comme des Garçons is a Japanese fashion label founded by Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe. The brand was built in Tokyo and evolved into Comme des Garçons Co Ltd. in 1973. In 1981, Comme des Garçons made its first debut at a Paris fashion show. The collection shocked the fashion world by breaking out and going against the fashion standards at that time. The designs used black tones, exuding gloom and suffering so it successfully created an unmistakable identity for the brand.
From the first appearance on the catwalk, Comme Des Garçons made a deep impression with monochrome clothing colors, rough seams and ruffled edges. Instead of tight designs that emphasize body lines, Comme Des Garcons designs are inclinable to oversized designs. Loose, multi-layered clothing style with the combination of flat shoes and eccentric makeup. This makes Comme Des Garcons brand style special, which is extremely favored by those who love out-of-the-ordinary outfits.
Currently, Comme des Garçons is widely available in Japan, Hong Kong, Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore and Manila, Paris, USA, UK, Germany, Australia with product lines for both men and women, swimwear, underwear, jewelry accessories and perfume.
