Founded in 1994 by Shinsuke Takizawa, NEIGHBORHOOD or NBHD is one of the most famous brands in Japanese streetwear. NBHD originated from the streetwear of young Harajuku district (Tokyo) in the 90s when it was just a trend among peers in Tokyo, but it accidentally opened a new page for Japanese streetwear.


NBHD's products are mostly based on Takizawa's deep passion for historical culture and classic clothes from America such as leather jackets, shirts, flannels or sweaters full of style. NBHD's designs are inspired by the military, Native Americans or even industrial workwear from the early 20th century. The brand has always been known for featuring original selvage denim, manufactured to strict standards and intricately customized, such as the hugely popular “Savage” series.
