The UNIQLO fashion brand was founded by Tadashi Yanai. He inherited the family's fashion business in 1984. After a short time, Tadashi Yanai rapidly introduced a series of products exclusively for women, opened more stores in the suburbs and completely abandoned the brand that his father had built to found Unique Clothing Warehouse (UNIQLO). By 1994, UNIQLO had become a prestigious fashion chain with more than 100 stores throughout Japan.
