Conduit Gallery

Nancy Whitenack, a former art teacher and the mastermind behind Conduit Gallery, founded her own gallery in 1984. Nancy had no prior experience running a gallery and had to learn everything about the business on the job, and based on the results, she did an excellent job.

Nearly 40 contemporary artists are represented by Conduit Gallery, whose work is at the forefront of modern art practices. Susan Kae Grant's dreamlike photographic compositions, Rex Ray's bright, imaginative collages, and Johnny Robertson's monochromatic, large-scale paintings are among the artists on the list. While the work of represented artists is shown in the two main rooms, the gallery also has a so-called Project Room. The room is a dedicated area for selected young artists – generally recent graduates – who are given the opportunity to make their initial steps into the art market.
