Dallas Contemporary
Dallas Contemporary is a non-profit, non-collecting facility committed to public engagement through exhibits by local and international contemporary artists. The purpose of Dallas Contemporary is to provide contemporary art to the public, documenting new directions in art through rotating exhibits, publications, and educational programs for people of all ages.
Dallas Contemporary's programs are aimed toward audiences in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, but they also draw people from all across the Southwest. It is Texas' only bilingual institution dedicated to modern art and culture. Today, the institution's programming focuses on showing and commissioning site-specific works by emerging and established local and international artists. In two annual cycles, beginning in January and September, Dallas Contemporary hosts around eight rotating exhibitions. Tuesday through Sunday, the museum is open to the public and entrance is always free.
