Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden
Donald Vogel and his wife Peggy purchased a six-acre woodland lot in North Dallas in the 1950s with the aim of turning it into a nursery for the creative arts.
Valley House was one of the first galleries in Texas to specialize in and display contemporary and modern art. In its early years, the gallery brought works by modernist artists like Claude Monet and Paul Cezanne to Dallas. Valley House established itself as a historical cultural institution in Dallas and Texas as a result of the high quality of the exhibitions, which never failed to amaze both the public and the critics. The surrounding grounds, which are often used as the backdrop for exhibitions and feature sculptures by internationally renowned artists, are also unique to Valley House.
