Crooked Tree Cashew Fest
One of the most famous festivals in Belize - the Crooked Tree Cashew Festival will showcase jams, cakes, pies, and stews made with cashews and cashew-inspired ingredients. One of the main attractions is the famed cashew wine, which is made from the cashew tree's fruit rather than the nut.
Crooked Tree has a population of less than 1,000 people, yet the soil quality and climate make it ideal for growing cashew trees. The Cashew Festival, which began in 1992, has steadily grown into one of Belize's most popular festivals. Local chefs will compete to create delectable cashew-themed dishes, and there will be plenty of live music, games, and fun activities for everybody to enjoy.
