Hopkins Mangofest
The Hopkins BTIA Chapter has been hosting the Hopkins Mangofest since 2013( now becoming one of most famous festivals in Belize), with the purpose of promoting Hopkins Village as an appealing tourist destination with a distinctive and delightful cultural and gastronomic experience. Furthermore, because it is the slow season, or "maga" season, the event adds to an economic boost for local businesses in the region.
Hopkins Mangofest is a two-day, family-friendly festival that celebrates all things mango, including mango-inspired foods, jams and jellies, sweets, and drinks. Typically, the various booths hold numerous competitions and games. Although the event is centered on the wonderful mango fruits, it also promotes Garifuna culture via attire, music, dance, and food.
