Cyber Weapons rank 4th in list of Future Weapons of Mass Destruction. Mass destruction does not have to take the form of explosions, rubble, and large craters in the Earth in the modern world. If you truly want to cripple an opponent, all you have to do is destroy their infrastructure. While devastating physical warfare with bombs and guns is unlikely to go out of style, cyber warfare can wreak greater damage in less time.

In theory, conducting a cyberattack can destroy an enemy from within if you have the capability. Communications networks, military systems, and even a country's electrical grid and financial backbone can all be disabled or deleted. There is almost nothing in the modern world that is not run by a computer and administered by a computer network. With a team of trained cyber assault specialists on the other side of the planet, it is possible to control an enemy's military arsenals, cripple their economy, and literally leave them in the dark.
