Despicable Me
Despicable Me is the first film from Universal Pictures' Illumination division, and it is a computer-animated 3D adventure comedy-crime film. It is recognized as the ninth highest-grossing film of 2010, the fourth highest-grossing animated film of 2010, and the 39th highest-grossing of all time.
Steve Carell plays Gru, a supervillain who adopts three girls from an orphanage (Miranda Cosgrove as Margo, Dana Gaier as Edith, and Elsie Fisher as Agnes), while Jason Segel plays Vector, a competitor of Gru who takes the Great Pyramid of Giza. When Gru finds out about Vector's crime, he devises a scheme to shrink and steal The Moon. Despicable Me is the first film in the Despicable Me franchise, which comprises three sequels: Despicable Me 2 (2013), Minions (2015), and Despicable Me 3 (2016). (2017). In 2022, Minions: The Rise of Gru will be released.
