The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl
Top 5 in Top 10 Best 3D Movies on Netflix
The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl has risen in popularity among the generation that grew up with it, despite receiving bad reviews upon its first release. Robert Rodriguez's fantasy action superhero picture tells the story of Max, a solitary youngster who discovers that Planet Drool, the place of his fantasies, is real. Max is contacted by two heroes he created, Sharkboy (Taylor Lautner) and Lavagirl (Taylor Dooley), who comes to his school riding on twin tornados and invite him to join them on a journey to Planet Drool, which requires his assistance.
For this film, Rodriguez used anaglyph 3-D technology, which he had previously used for the film 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over' (2003). The animation and 3-D received mixed reviews. While some people liked it, others thought it was undercooked.
