How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a 2014 American computer-animated action-fantasy film created by DreamWorks Animation and released by 20th Century Fox, partly based on Cressida Cowell's book series of the same name. It's the sequel to the 2010 film How to Train Your Dragon and the second in a trilogy.
Life flourishes in Berk, thanks to Toothless and Hiccup's efforts to bring dragons and humans together in harmony. The uneasy peace is jeopardized, however, when Drago, a dragon trapper, arrives with plans to capture and imprison every dragon on the planet. As a great battle rages on, Hiccup realizes that he is not that different from his mother after all. The film received critical acclaim after its first release, owing to its animation, voice acting, musical soundtrack, action sequences, emotional depth, and darker, more serious tone than its predecessor.
