Dominos
Richard Allison, the CEO of Domino's Pizza, an American worldwide pizza restaurant chain founded in 1960, is the company's leader. The company's headquarters are located in the Domino's Farms Office Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan. With over 17,500 locations globally, including over 6,000 in the United States, Domino's sells an average of three million pizzas every day. However, it sells roughly two million pizzas in the United States alone on Super Bowl Sunday.
In 1960, the Monaghan brothers bought DomiNick's, an established pizza shop, and Domino's was created. Tom Monaghan assumed complete control of the company a few years later, and in 1965, he built two more stores and changed the name to Domino's. The restaurant quickly developed from there, and it now offers non-pizza menu items such as chicken wings and desserts.
The menu at Domino's varies per location. The current Domino's menu in the United States is a blend of Italian-American main and side dishes. Pizza is the major draw, with basic, specialty, and custom pizzas offered in a variety of crust varieties and toppings. In 2011, Domino's released artisan-style pizzas. Other dishes include pasta, bread bowls, and oven-baked sandwiches. The menu includes chicken and bread sides, as well as beverages and desserts.
