Zambrero
Zambrero is an Australian fast food restaurant chain based in Canberra that specializes on Mexican cuisine. Sam Prince, a medical student at the time, started it with the intention of utilizing the income to help humanitarian causes. For every meal purchased through the chain's Plate4Plate initiative, a meal is donated to someone in need in the developing countries.
Dr. Sam Prince, a university student in Canberra at the time, launched the company in 2005. When other Mexican companies attempting to get into the market were unable to match them for whatever reason, which remains unknown, the brand saw unexpected growth over a long period of time, roughly from 2013 to 2017.
With its Plate 4 Plate program, it has clearly positioned its brand image on 'helping to eradicate world hunger,' and this has been a fundamental pillar of both customer and franchisee-related marketing. This endeavor ought to be applauded.
The concern for the brand in the future is whether it will be able to attract and keep its consumer share of market, especially when competition from Mexican products enters the Australian market.
The network encourages multi-restaurant ownership.
