Red Rooster is an Australian fast food brand that specializes in roast chicken, chicken burgers, and fried chicken. It was started in 1972. Whole roasts, half roasts, wraps, burgers, salads, drinks, and desserts are among their offerings. Craveable Brands, which also owns Oporto and Chicken Treat, is the owner of this brand. Another fast food chain that appears to have a substantial number of sites that need to be refreshed and re-invested in.

Except for Tasmania, there are around 360 Red Rooster shops in Australia as of 2012. Seven Red Rooster restaurants on the Sunshine Coast abruptly closed in 2019. Concerns have been expressed concerning Red Rooster's franchise model, claiming that the company's specialization on poultry makes it difficult for it to adjust swiftly to changing market trends.

This appears to be a critical stage in the brand's life cycle. Red Rooster has signaled a clear aim and strategy to take action after having problems with its standing in the market in recent years, with fresher, on-trend food competitors streaming into the market and no doubt gaining market share from it.

"In 2020 and beyond, Red Rooster will be modernizing... from modernising restaurant design, to upgrading technology in restaurant as well as user interfaces, to culinary innovation including new burgers, new snacks, and expanding our chicken offering," the company's website states.

Kudos to the company for seeing the problem and taking a stand against many other well-known food brands that have been on the slide in recent years. Now it's time to put the strategy into action for all stakeholders.
