Dream High 2 (2012)

The first season was so successful that a sequel was unavoidable. While there are new faces in Kirin High School, such as GOT7's Jaebum and Jinyoung, vocalist Ailee, 2 AM's Jinwoon, T-Jiyeon, ARA's former Sistar member Hyolyn, and actor Park Seo Joon, the previous cast, including IU, appears as an easter egg in the first episode. This season, they're all successful in their own way, with Pil Sook, now a famous artist, encouraging an underclassman who shares his desire of becoming a singer.

The high school declares bankruptcy in the second season and is taken up by Oz Entertainment. The corporation transfers its juvenile idols-in-training to comply with a new regulation that requires minor performers to get 20 hours of school each week and forbids them from working after 10 p.m. Rivalries, secret crushes, and surprising alliances emerge as the idol-in-training youths struggle with the present pupils. Shin Hae Sung aspires to be a musician, but her knowledge is limited to books rather than practical performance.

Jin Yoo Jin, a former child star, routinely breaks school regulations and gets into problems in his goal to become a hard-core rock star. He also butts heads with JB, a member of the well-known group I:dn. JB's ex-girlfriend, Rian, a member of the popular K-pop group Hershe, wants him back, but he develops feelings for Hae Sung. Nana understands what it takes to be a top vocalist. All of them have a reunion performance on stage for Kirin High School's 17 years anniversary.
