My Mister (2018)

My Mister is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2018 and stars Lee Sun-kyun and Lee Ji-eun. Kim Won-seok directed the series, which was written by Park Hae-young and produced by Chorokbaem Media. It aired on tvN on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:30 (KST) from March 21 to May 17, 2018. My Mister depicts the story of a destitute and indebted young lady (IU) attempting to make ends meet while caring for her deaf, ailing grandma and working a temp job. She forms an unexpected friendship with one of her similarly miserable bosses (Lee Sun-kyun), which is scrutinized and manipulated by their coworkers, friends, and dysfunctional families. They join together to bear the weight of their different lives, creating new connections, keeping pieces of themselves hidden — but eventually mending one another's old injuries.
