Festa Junina
Festa Junina is one of Brazil's most important and famous festivals, with residents celebrating it for the full month of June each year. During this period, people commemorate the birth of St. John the Baptist by holding festivities centered on rural life. Local cuisine, traditional attire, joyous music, and square dancing under a large tent (arraial) are all highlights of the festival.
Festa Junina celebration within the festive arraial takes place in a building in big cities, with multi-hued flags, colorful balloons, and plaid tablecloths as accessories.
