Forgetfulness
Everyone gets distracted now and then, but if you've seen a long-term trend of forgetfulness, it might be a sign of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Daily duties, such as household chores or errands, are frequently forgotten by people with ADHD. You may have noticed that you forget to return phone calls, pay bills, or maintain social or business appointments on a regular basis.
Forgetfulness can be inconvenient at times, but rarely to the point of causing major problems, especially with your working memory, the small amount of information that your mind holds as you’re working to complete a task. Because working memory is strongly linked to IQ and learning capacity, persons with ADHD may be unfairly judged in terms of their learning abilities. Without a strong working memory, it's critical to develop coping skills and alternate learning processes that don't rely on the brain's working memory.
