Overspending
"In ADHD, people tend to make slapdash decisions which often leads to overspending", ADHD expert Dave Coghill from the University of Melbourne says.
Overspending might result from a lack of concentration. You may buy additional goods to replace lost ones, or you may overspend on organizing tools that are seldom used. Overspending patterns, along with unpaid bills and postponed financial planning, can lead to poor long-term financial management in women with ADHD. You can make a list of 10 good reasons to develop good spending habits, then frame it and keep it near your bill-paying area. Or keep track of every purchase you make for a month. When possible, get a receipt, keep track of your checks, and print out receipts for internet transactions right away.
