Formosa Petrochemical

Formosa Petrochemical Corporation is a Taiwanese energy firm that refines crude oil, distributes refined petroleum products, manufactures and sells olefins, and generates electricity and steam. Its headquarters are in Taiwan's Mailiao Township, Yunlin County.

Formosa Petrochemical Corp. refines crude oil and sells and manufactures olefins such as ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and BTX. Gasoline, diesel, liquefied petroleum gas, aviation fuels, kerosene, naphtha, petrochemicals, fuel oil, asphalt, sulfur, base oil, lubricant, and refined petroleum products are among its goods. Electricity, steam, and other utility items generated by the company's co-generation power plants are also provided. Formosa Oil, a significant company, has a gas station chain. Formosa Petrochemical was the second largest oil refiner in Taiwan as of 2021, trailing only Chinese Petroleum Corporation. The company owns and runs Taiwan's only privately held refinery and naphtha cracking plant.
