Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing business Limited (TSMC; often known as Taiwan Semiconductor) is a multinational semiconductor contract manufacturing and design business headquartered in Taiwan. It is the most valuable semiconductor firm in the world, the world's largest dedicated independent semiconductor foundry, and one of Taiwan's largest corporations, with headquarters and principal operations in Hsinchu Science Park. Foreign investors own the majority of the company.

TSMC, founded in Taiwan in 1987 by Morris Chang, was the world's first dedicated semiconductor foundry and has long been the industry leader. Since 1993, it has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE: 2330); in 1997, it became the first Taiwanese business to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: TSM). Customers of TSMC include most of the main fabless semiconductor firms, including AMD, Apple, ARM, Broadcom, Marvell, MediaTek, Qualcomm, and Nvidia, as well as rising companies like as Allwinner Technology, HiSilicon, Spectra7, and UNISOC. TSMC's foundry services are also used or used by leading programmable logic device firms Xilinx and, earlier, Altera.

As of 2020, TSMC has a global capacity of around thirteen million 300 mm-equivalent wafers per year and manufactures chips for clients with process nodes ranging from 2 microns to five nanometres. TSMC was the first foundry to commercialize high-volume 7-nanometer and 5-nanometer production capabilities (used by the 2020 Apple A14 and M1 SoCs and the MediaTek Dimensity 8100), as well as the first to commercialize extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography technology.
