Frances McDormand

Frances Louise McDormand (born Cynthia Ann Smith on June 23, 1957) is a producer and actor from the United States. She has received various honors during her career, including a Tony Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and four Academy Awards (including one for Best Picture), making her one of the few artists to accomplish the "Triple Crown of Acting". She has also won two Golden Globes, three British Academy Film Awards, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Frances McDormand has established herself to be one of the finest performers of all time, with passion and range rarely matched in Hollywood history. She's built a reputation for doing exceptional work outside of the large studio system, having won two Independent Spirit Awards for her work in indie films, which is a record for any actor.

She has already won two Oscars, both for best supporting actress, for characters as disparate as a mild-mannered police officer in 1996's "Fargo" and a tough-as-nails mother seeking vengeance for her daughter's death in 2017's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri". She is one of just handful of performers who have won the acting triple crown.
