Jane Fonda
Jane Seymour Fonda (born December 21, 1937) is an American actress, political activist, environmentalist, and former fashion model. She is the recipient of various accolades including two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, seven Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, the AFI Life Achievement Award, the Golden Lion Honorary Award, the Honorary Palme d'Or, and the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Jane Fonda was perhaps the biggest celebrity of the 1970s due to her fiery attitude, amazing features, and enormous screen presence. She was nominated for seven Oscars, six of which she won for a best leading actress between 1969 and 1981. Fonda was almost always cast in dramatic parts, and she was equally effective at portraying sci-fi heroes like the one in 1968's "Barbarella" as she was at playing a depressed working woman intent on vengeance in 1980's "9 to 5".
Fonda has risen to prominence as a television star in recent years, winning Emmy nods for her roles in HBO's "The Newsroom" and Netflix's "Grace and Frankie".
