The Free State Brewing Company, which opened in 1989, was Kansas' first legal brewery in nearly a century. They've been working day in and day out since opening their doors on Mass Street to be a haven for beer enthusiasts, where good beer and delicious cuisine can generate lively conversations and memorable experiences. The Free State Brewing Company, a small 14-barrel brewery, does not specialize in any one style of beer, but instead creates a wide range of beers to suit all tastes, from the crisp Copperhead Pale Ale to the malty Ironman Imperial Stout, and has recently expanded its operation to include beers bottled on site. The brewery's beers are served at the attached restaurant, which also serves a scrumptious array of sandwiches, pastas, steaks, and quesadillas as a hearty companion to your favorite brew.

Their 14-barrel brewhouse is equipped with some of the greatest technology available to small brewers, but they believe the most important ingredients are the care and respect that their energetic, knowledgeable staff has for each and every beer they produce. And now that they're bottling their beers in their expanded bottling facility, people all around Kansas and Missouri may enjoy their attention to detail and commitment to exceptional taste and quality.
