Fumacinha Falls
The magnificent Fumacinha Falls are concealed by tall granite walls in Chapada Diamantina, Brazil. Visitors find the drop of roughly 100 meters (330 feet) fascinating. The scene is incredible: at the top, where moss-covered gorges rise to a height of 250 meters (820 feet), which like a cathedral, the waters of the falls emerge and plunge into a massive natural pool. Few travelers make it to the waterfall, which is located in the town of Ibicoara in Chapada Diamantina, Bahia; however, once you're there, you'll see why the 4 hours of arduous hiking were worth it.
Fumacinha Falls is a waterfall with few visitors due to its high difficulty. But at the bottom of the canyon, those trying to complete the expedition will get a privileged view of one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Chapada Diamantina. On this trail there will be other small waterfalls that the group will see along the way. The trip to the upper half of the falls is rather simple compared to the lower one, though, if you'd prefer to take a less strenuous trek.
